Karan Sethi

Criminal (Summary Convictions) & Provincial Offences Defence Paralegal

Compassionate Legal Representation

Focused, Determined, Client-First Representation Across Ontario

1

The Reality

Criminal summary conviction charges and Provincial Offences Act matters can affect your liberty, driving privileges, record, and regulatory standing. Whether the issue involves a Criminal Code summary offence, a traffic or provincial charge, or a cannabis-related regulatory matter arising from AGCO enforcement, these cases often move quickly and follow strict procedural rules. Missed deadlines, incomplete disclosure, or uninformed decisions can have lasting consequences beyond the immediate charge.

2

The Practice

Sethi Legal Services provides representation and legal support in Criminal Code summary conviction matters and Provincial Offences Act proceedings, including Highway Traffic Act offences and cannabis-related provincial and regulatory charges arising from Cannabis Control Act and AGCO enforcement. The practice also assists with record suspension applications, counsel support, and notary and commissioning services. All criminal matters accepted are limited to summary conviction offences within the scope of practice permitted to licensed paralegals in Ontario.

3

The Approach

Clients work directly with their paralegal and receive clear, disciplined guidance throughout their matter. The focus is on explaining the process, identifying realistic defence and resolution options, and preparing clients for each stage of the proceedings. Communication is direct and timely, with careful attention to procedure, deadlines, and strategic decision-making. Every matter is approached with professionalism, transparency, and respect for the seriousness of the legal and regulatory issues involved.
